Lesson Weekends
We began the lesson days after receiving many requests for ongoing assistance or a chance to bring a new horse and learn how we work. In an attempt to meet some of that demand, we hold a weekend of lessons on the third Saturday and Sunday of each month. You can bring your horse along for a lesson or assessment and receive the kind of help we offer. It doesn't matter if it is foal, a high level competition horse or a pleasure riding horse. Every one is welcome and so are all your questions! Lessons are 90 minutes and auditors are invited free of charge. But bookings are essential and on a first come first serve basis. Dates are listed here.

Five Day Clinics
The five day clinics are held by Ross and Michèle. Although the atmosphere is informal, it's a full five days of intense training for you and your horse. The focus is on breaking down the barriers in your relationship and training of your horse. The clinics are designed for the individual needs of each rider and horse no matter what your interests or level of performance.
There is a six person limit for the five days clinics, so with the two teachers there is plenty of personal attention. Five days give people enough information to begin real changes in themselves and their horses and much to take home, armed with enough direction to keep them busy with their horses for several months. The five day clinics have been very popular and we have had several people return for their fourth and fifth time. Each day begins with conversation about the previous day, thoughts on horses and horsemanship.
To contact Ross and Michèle about attending or hosting a five day clinic, you are welcome to telephone or click here. If you are interested in attending an upcoming clinic, please check the schedule to see what's on offer

Most of the two day clinics are organized by other people. Many of these folks are previous clients, or have become fans of the stories in the HRCAV magazine, Chaff Chat and contact Ross and Michèle about teaching for a couple of days to their club or a group of friends. This works well and is kept pretty informal. It isn’t hard to organize one of these clinics, so people often get them back several times.
The advantage of the two day clinic is that it gives people a strong sense of what is possible with their horse. Most people appreciate that you are not going to make permanent changes to things in just two days. But they do get a look into what is possible if they apply themselves to the task. Some folk bring along a horse with behaviourial or training problems, a young horse or foal for some ideas about initial handling and others just come along wanting to learn how to improve their horsemanship and offer their horse a better relationship.
Clinics are held in both metropolitan and country areas, as well as interstate. To inquire about organizing a two day or weekend clinic, you are welcome to telephone or click here. If you are interested in attending an upcoming clinic, please check the schedule to see what's on offer.
