THE FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAY

If you have been following this page, attended my clinics or read any of my books, you’ll know that the premise behind my work is that good training prioritises the ability to change a horse’s ideas to influence movement. If I can direct their thoughts to align with my thoughts, we are working together in partnership. That is good horsemanship.

The favourite part of my day is feeding my horses in the morning. I get to say g’day to them, hang out, and commune with them. It’s fun. Interestingly, the favourite part of the day for my horses is their morning feeding time too. However, it’s not a coincidence that we all love the same time of day.

The fact that my horses and I share a love of the same activity is clear proof of the brilliance of my training methods. My thoughts and feelings about morning feeding time are the same as my horses. It took a lot of work, but understanding the principles of good horsemanship made it possible to help my horse's learn to love that time when they get to dive into a bucket of grain.

If you want to know more about how to direct your horse’s thoughts and ideas, come along to a clinic or talk to me about scheduling one in your area. I might even be able to offer some tips on how to help your horse enjoy their feeding time.
